Trump’s Vision for Gaza Sparks International Outrage

While browsing the latest developments in American politics, recent statements from former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the future of the Gaza Strip have drawn significant attention. Trump asserted that he is in no hurry to implement his proposal for U.S. control over Gaza, which includes evacuating its residents to develop real estate projects.

These remarks were made during a press conference at the White House, attended by Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. Trump stated, “There is absolutely no rush” in executing the plan, emphasizing that it remains under review.

In additional comments made last Thursday, Trump suggested that the United States would “take over Gaza from Israel after the fighting ends” and that Palestinians would be “relocated” to other regions, particularly Egypt and Jordan.

This proposal was met with firm rejection from both Cairo and Amman, which strongly opposed any attempt to impose forced demographic changes. The plan also sparked widespread international condemnation, with the United Nations warning against any form of “ethnic cleansing.” Both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority vehemently rejected the proposal, calling it a blatant violation of Palestinian rights.

These developments come at a time when the international community continues to advocate for a two-state solution as the path to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict—an approach that Israel strongly opposes, further complicating the political landscape in the region.
