Morocco Reaches Semi-Finals by Defeating the USA in Kings World Cup

The Moroccan national team continued its impressive journey in the Kings League World Cup by reaching the semi-finals after winning against the United States on Wednesday night in a penalty shootout, following a 7-7 draw at the end of regulation time.

The match took place in Milan, Italy, in front of a large Moroccan crowd that supported Issam El Raqui and his teammates throughout the competition.

The Moroccan players opened the scoring with a stunning goal from Nader El-Lawah in the first minute. However, the American team responded quickly, scoring three goals in just eight minutes before Morocco narrowed the gap with an own goal from the opposing team.

The USA continued to dominate, adding two more goals before halftime, which ended with a score of 5-2 in their favor.

In the second half, Fouad El Amrani scored Morocco’s third goal in the 22nd minute, followed by Achraf Saoud who added the fourth in the 26th minute. El Amrani then scored again, while the American team managed to net two more goals. El-Lawah scored two additional goals to equalize at 7-7 by the end of regulation time, leading to a penalty shootout where Morocco triumphed.

Morocco will face Colombia in the semi-finals after the Colombians defeated Uzbekistan.

The Moroccan team featured several iconic former players, including Mbark Boussoufa, Zakaria Hadraf, Issam Er Raqui, Achraf Saoud, Saïd El Aouni, Mehdi Amri, and others who have represented their country in this competition.

It is worth noting that Morocco had lost to Colombia in the group stage but secured victory against Ukraine in the second round before defeating Japan in the final qualifying round.

Kings League matches are played with seven players per team: one goalkeeper and six field players. Each half lasts 20 minutes, with each team allowed an unlimited number of substitutions. The match begins with a one-on-one duel between one player from each team for one minute, after which other players gradually enter the field until both teams are complete.
