On Monday, December 23, 2024, Keldiman Municipality in the Taza province announced the launch of the process for filing declarations and paying the tax on undeveloped land (TNB) in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 47.06 concerning the taxes of local authorities, as amended by Law No. 07.20. This initiative is part of the municipality’s efforts to organize local taxes and enhance compliance with tax laws, thereby improving the municipality’s financial resources and supporting local development projects.
According to the municipality’s announcement, all landowners or holders of undeveloped land within Keldiman’s jurisdiction are required to file their declarations and pay the due tax before March 1, 2025. The municipality emphasized that the declarations must be submitted to the Revenue Department at the municipal headquarters, and the tax declaration form can be obtained there as well. It was also highlighted that any late submissions or incomplete declarations will incur financial penalties, with a 15% surcharge on the amount of the due tax.
This tax applies to undeveloped land within Keldiman’s territory that is included in the urban planning design. It specifically targets land that is not being used for professional or agricultural purposes and serves as a key source of funding for projects aimed at improving public services and developing the region. For land used for professional or agricultural purposes, the municipality urged concerned parties to submit proof of actual land use, including documents from local authorities or relevant services. These documents should specify the tax year, type of use, and the utilized area.
In closing, Keldiman Municipality expressed its readiness to assist citizens and professionals with any inquiries regarding the required procedures and urged everyone to comply with the set deadlines to avoid legal penalties. This initiative is part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to encourage tax compliance, support local resources, and contribute to sustainable development in the region.
