Casablanca’s Grand Stadium Leads 2030 World Cup Evaluations

The Mohammed V Sports Complex (Grand Stade Hassan II) in Casablanca has received the highest rating in the official evaluation of 2030 World Cup stadiums, scoring 4.3 out of 5, qualifying it to host either the opening match or the final of the global tournament.

The evaluation demonstrated the excellence of Moroccan sports facilities, with the Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat and the Fez Sports Complex scoring 4.1 out of 5, while the stadiums in Agadir, Tangier, and Marrakech achieved a rating of 4 points.

The performance of Moroccan stadiums was outstanding compared to their Spanish and Portuguese counterparts participating in the joint bid. Casablanca’s stadium matched the ratings of Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu and Barcelona’s Camp Nou.

An official from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation stated: “We are proud of our stadiums’ evaluation results, which demonstrated a level that matches the world’s best venues. We are confident that Morocco has all the requirements to host a successful 2030 World Cup.”

These exceptional results enhance Morocco’s chances of hosting the 2030 World Cup, especially with its world-class infrastructure and modern sports facilities that meet the highest international standards.
