RABAT – Moroccan media sources have revealed that a project to establish a new city in Lagouira could be under discussion as part of strengthening cooperation between Morocco and France.
The Moroccan news website “Le Desk” reported that this ambitious project aims to develop the Lagouira area, located on the Ras Nouadhibou peninsula, which is considered the southernmost point in Morocco.
Lagouira, currently described as a “ghost town,” is considered an important strategic location due to its distinctive geographical position on the Atlantic Ocean. If implemented, this project would contribute to the area’s development and strengthen its economic and urban presence.
This potential project comes in the context of enhancing bilateral relations between Morocco and France, and within a comprehensive development vision aimed at developing various regions of the kingdom.
