He leaves behind a rich legacy in the field of media and information, having served as editor-in-chief for several prestigious publications, including “La Vie Économique,” “La Gazette du Maroc,” and “Challenge.”
Berraoui also distinguished himself as a talented columnist and political analyst, often addressing sensitive topics that contributed to enriching public discourse.Additionally, he was the author of the book “Yasmine: 19 Years Old, Down Syndrome, High School Graduate” (Balland Publishing, 2019), in which he recounts the story of his daughter Yasmine, a young woman with Down syndrome who achieved the remarkable feat of obtaining her high school diploma in 2014.
The news of his passing has caused great shock within the national media and political circles, with many praising his valuable contributions to the development of Moroccan journalism. His body will be laid to rest today at the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Casablanca.
