Le Caire – Le Parlement arabe a salué le rôle joué par le Roi Mohammed VI, Président du Comité Al-Qods, dans la défense de Jérusalem et le soutien à la résilience du peuple palestinien. Cet hommage figure dans la résolution finale adoptée lors de la huitième Conférence du Parlement arabe et des présidents des parlements arabes, tenue samedi au siège du Secrétariat général de la Ligue des États arabes, au Caire.
La résolution, adoptée lors de cette conférence organisée à l’initiative du Parlement arabe en partenariat avec l’Union interparlementaire arabe, souligne l’importance des efforts déployés par le Roi Mohammed VI, en sa qualité de Président du Comité Al-Qods, pour protéger la Ville sainte, préserver son identité religieuse, historique et civilisationnelle, et soutenir la population palestinienne face aux défis auxquels Jérusalem est confrontée.
Les participants ont également réaffirmé leur soutien au rôle stratégique du Comité Al-Qods sous la présidence du Roi Mohammed VI, mettant en avant sa contribution à la défense de Jérusalem, à la préservation de son caractère religieux et abrahamique, ainsi qu’à la lutte contre toute tentative de modifier son statut juridique, historique ou démographique.
La résolution a en outre réaffirmé les droits légitimes et inaliénables du peuple palestinien, notamment le droit à l’établissement d’un État palestinien indépendant et souverain dans les frontières du 4 juin 1967, avec Jérusalem-Est pour capitale, tout en garantissant le droit au retour et à l’indemnisation des réfugiés palestiniens, conformément aux résolutions de la légalité internationale.
Les participants ont enfin souligné que la solution à deux États demeure la seule voie permettant d’instaurer une paix juste et durable dans la région, conformément aux résolutions internationales et à l’Initiative de paix arabe, renouvelant leur soutien à tous les efforts visant à parvenir à un règlement politique juste et permanent de la question palestinienne.
Arab Parliament Commends King Mohammed VI’s Role in Defending Jerusalem and Supporting the Resilience of the Palestinian People
Cairo – The Arab Parliament has praised the role played by King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in defending Jerusalem and supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people. The recognition was included in the final resolution of the Eighth Conference of the Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Parliaments, held on Saturday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
The resolution, adopted during the conference organized by the Arab Parliament in partnership with the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, highlighted the importance of King Mohammed VI’s efforts, in his capacity as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to protect the Holy City, preserve its religious, historical, and cultural identity, and support the steadfastness of Palestinians in the face of the challenges confronting Jerusalem.
The conference also reaffirmed its support for the strategic role of the Al-Quds Committee under King Mohammed VI’s leadership, emphasizing its contribution to defending the Holy City, preserving its religious and Abrahamic character, and opposing measures aimed at altering its legal, historical, or demographic status.
The resolution further reaffirmed the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, while guaranteeing Palestinian refugees’ right of return and compensation in accordance with international legitimacy and United Nations resolutions.
Participants stressed that the two-state solution remains the only viable path toward achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region, in line with international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, while reaffirming their support for all efforts aimed at reaching a fair and lasting political settlement to the Palestinian issue.
