Late last week, the city of Ghafsay was rocked by a brutal crime, as a girl in her twenties was found covered in blood in front of the arch leading to the new market in the Zourega neighborhood, according to local sources.
According to the same sources, the girl was brutally assaulted, with her teeth pulled out using construction tweezers, in addition to various bruises all over her body.
According to information, the incident started as a dispute in a house during a night of drinking with some young men, then the dispute developed into an argument, after which four young men kidnapped the girl and took her to Oued Oulay in Ghafsay, where they took turns raping her before assaulting her in a brutal manner.
Upon being notified of the incident, the Royal Gendarmerie and local authorities rushed to the scene, where the girl was rushed to the regional hospital in Taounat, and then quickly transferred to the University Hospital Complex in Fez for treatment.
In this context, residents and activists called on the competent authorities to identify the perpetrators, arrest them and bring them to justice, warning that they should be punished with the maximum penalties to serve as an example to others.
