The Council of Government, chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, held on Thursday a meeting dedicated to deliberating on a number of draft legal texts and proposals for appointments to senior positions in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
During this meeting, the Council approved draft decree No. 2.23.1194 amending and supplementing decree No. 2.90.471 of 7 Jumada al-Thani 1411 (December 25, 1990) granting a supplementary remuneration to research professors in medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, presented by Khaled Ait Taleb, Minister of Health and Social Protection.
This project comes within the framework of the implementation of the royal instructions calling for the rehabilitation of the national health system, especially with regard to the promotion and valorization of human resources, as well as in implementation of the contents of the government program 2021-2026, which emphasizes the stimulation and valorization of national human capital. This project also comes in implementation of the outcomes of the agreement signed between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the National Union of Higher Education on August 03, 2023.
This project aims to:
Determine the amount of the supplementary remuneration authorized for the grade “D” created within the framework of the higher education professor under the statute of the Research Professors of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry.
Replace the designation “assistant professor of higher education” with “lecturer” in this statute.
This project would contribute to improving the material status of research professors in medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, enhancing the attractiveness of these professions, and motivating them to exert more efforts in scientific research and training.
