A serious traffic accident occurred on the road linking the cities of Taunate and Ain Aicha in the Taunate province, northern Morocco, on Sunday evening, when a large taxi carrying passengers from Taunate to Ain Aicha overturned.
Local sources reported that the passengers miraculously survived the accident, with only minor injuries sustained due to the force of the overturn.
The sources attributed the cause of the accident to excessive speed, which led the driver to lose control of the vehicle, resulting in its overturn on the road.
The area witnesses a significant surge in passenger transportation during the blessed Eid al-Adha holiday, as many citizens travel between cities to visit families and relatives.
Immediately after the accident, local authorities and the Royal Gendarmerie arrived at the scene, and an investigation was opened under the orders of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding this serious incident.
