Mr Abdelhaye Sassi, Head of the First Precinct of the Police Commissariat in Wesselin, obtained a PhD in Public Law and Political Science with a very high honours degree with a recommendation of course, as part of his thesis entitled ‘The legislative practice of the Moroccan Parliament under the 2011 Constitution for the ninth and tenth legislative terms as a model’.
Professor Sassi defended his thesis on Saturday, 8 June 2024, in front of a prestigious discussion committee that included a group of specialised professors in the field of public law and political science from various Moroccan universities.

The thesis dealt with an in-depth analysis of the Moroccan Parliament’s exercise of its legislative work under the 2011 Constitution, through a comparative study of the ninth and tenth legislative terms. The study demonstrated Professor Sassi’s ability to link theory to practice, and provided extensive and critical analyses of the legislative process in Morocco, while proposing a set of recommendations to improve it.
Professor Sassi’s thesis impressed the examining committee, which awarded him the title ‘Doctor of Public Law and Political Science’ with a very honourable distinction with the recommendation of coursework.
The professor’s achievement is a reflection of the scientific levels of knowledge that Moroccan security personnel are keen to achieve. This achievement reflects the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to encourage its members to achieve scientific and cognitive excellence and contribute to the enrichment of various academic fields.
