The Royal Moroccan Football Association (AMF) announced on Thursday a change of venue for the match between the national team and Congo Brazzaville in the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The two teams will face each other at the Grand Stadium of Agadir, instead of the Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa, on June 11 at 8:00 pm.
The change comes after FIFA notified the university, due to the unpreparedness of the Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa to host the match.
Before facing Congo, the national team will play an important match against its Zambian counterpart, this Friday evening, at the Grand Stadium of Agadir, in the third round of the qualifiers.
The Moroccan national team leads Group F with three points, which it obtained from an away win over Tanzania (2-0) last November 21, while Zambia, Niger and Tanzania, which played two games, are tied with three points each.
These qualifiers are an important opportunity for the national team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held for the first time in three countries: the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.
