NATO Plans to Move US Troops to Europe in Case of War with Russia

London, June 4, 2024: The Telegraph has revealed that NATO is planning to move US troops to Europe in case of war with Russia.

“Land corridors” to transport troops and armored vehicles

According to the newspaper, NATO is working on creating a network of “land corridors” to transport US troops and armored vehicles rapidly from the US to the front lines in the event of a large-scale land war with Russia in Europe.

Designated ports and rail networks

A source told the newspaper that the plan involves landing US Army units at one of five pre-designated ports, to be transported later via prepared logistics networks. Information indicates that NATO plans to land US forces in the Netherlands, where they will be transported by rail through Germany to Poland. The alliance also seeks to use ports in Norway, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Sweden, Finland and the Baltic states.

Freedom of movement without restrictions

The newspaper confirms that US forces will have freedom of movement within the designated transport corridors without being subject to the “rules and restrictions” normally imposed on their movements.

Abandoning large bases in favor of stable transport chains

In related news, the newspaper quoted Lieutenant General Alexander Soltfrack, head of NATO’s Allied Command for Support and Logistics, as saying that the experience of combat operations in Ukraine has shown that large logistics bases, such as those in Iraq and Afghanistan, are no longer suitable at present, as they can be easily destroyed in the event of a conflict. Soltfrack added that the new plan has been drawn up with these risks in mind and includes the creation of stable transport chains.

Putin confirms no intention of attacking NATO countries

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson, has confirmed that Russia has no intention of attacking NATO countries, as there is no need or benefit in doing so. Putin pointed out that Western politicians regularly scare their populations with a fictitious Russian threat in order to divert attention from domestic problems.
