Boulemane – The Province of Boulemane Province held a preparatory meeting on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, to develop the initial framework for the second edition of the Boulemane Saffron and Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Festival. The meeting was chaired by the Governor of the province, Allal El Baz, and attended by territorial officials, representatives of decentralized services, professional chambers, and civil society associations.
Boulemane – La province de Boulemane Province a tenu, le mardi 24 février 2026, une réunion préparatoire consacrée à l’élaboration de la vision préliminaire de la deuxième édition du Festival du safran et des plantes médicinales et aromatiques de Boulemane. La réunion a été présidée par le gouverneur de la province, Allal El Baz, en présence de responsables territoriaux, de représentants des services déconcentrés, des chambres professionnelles et d’associations de la société civile.

According to available information, the meeting focused on assessing the outcomes of the first edition, held from October 16 to 19, 2025, which featured the participation of 53 cooperatives in the local products exhibition and recorded an estimated daily attendance of around 3,600 visitors. The event contributed to boosting commercial and economic activity in Boulemane and neighboring areas.
Selon les informations disponibles, la réunion a été consacrée à l’évaluation du bilan de la première édition, organisée du 16 au 19 octobre 2025, qui a connu la participation de 53 coopératives au salon des produits du terroir, avec une moyenne quotidienne estimée à environ 3 600 visiteurs. L’événement a contribué à dynamiser l’activité commerciale et économique à Boulemane et dans les zones avoisinantes.

Participants emphasized the importance of promoting local products, particularly saffron and medicinal and aromatic plants, as drivers of integrated territorial development and as tools to strengthen the social and solidarity economy within the province.
Les participants ont souligné l’importance de la valorisation des produits du terroir, notamment le safran et les plantes médicinales et aromatiques, en tant que levier du développement territorial intégré et de renforcement de l’économie sociale et solidaire au niveau provincial.

The broad outlines of the second edition, scheduled for next August, were also presented. The program is expected to include a local products exhibition, an investment forum, scientific conferences, thematic workshops, cultural and artistic activities, mountain sports events, and a dedicated tourism circuit program.
Les grandes lignes de la deuxième édition, prévue pour le mois d’août prochain, ont également été présentées. According to the presentation delivered during the meeting, the organizational structure will rely on functional committees, including a scientific committee, a communication and media committee, an exhibition committee, and a logistics committee, alongside the implementation of a media marketing plan to ensure broader visibility for the event.
Selon l’exposé présenté lors de la réunion, l’organisation reposera sur des commissions fonctionnelles, notamment une commission scientifique, une commission communication et médias, une commission des expositions et une commission logistique, ainsi que sur la mise en place d’un plan de marketing médiatique afin d’assurer un rayonnement plus large de la manifestation.

At the end of the meeting, the floor was opened for proposals aimed at improving the second edition’s program.
