Elements of the Judicial Police Prefecture in Meknes, in close coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, arrested a 42-year-old individual on Monday morning, February 16, on suspicion of involvement in a case related to the possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
Les éléments de la police judiciaire de Meknès, en étroite coordination avec la Direction Générale de la Surveillance du Territoire, ont procédé, lundi matin 16 février, à l’interpellation d’un individu âgé de 42 ans, soupçonné d’être impliqué dans une affaire de détention et de trafic de stupéfiants et de substances psychotropes.

According to preliminary data, the suspect was arrested at the entrance to the city of Meknes while caught in the act of possessing a quantity of psychotropic pills. The search and seizure operation resulted in the confiscation of a total of 4,098 pills, including 3,600 medical tablets of the type “Rivotril” and 498 ecstasy tablets.
Selon les premières données, le suspect a été interpellé à l’entrée de la ville de Meknès en flagrant délit de détention d’une quantité de comprimés psychotropes. L’opération de saisie et de perquisition a permis la confiscation de 4 098 comprimés au total, dont 3 600 comprimés médicaux de type « Rivotril » et 498 comprimés hallucinogènes de type « Ecstasy ».

The individual has been placed under judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the possible extensions of this criminal activity, identify other suspected accomplices, and uncover any potential links to networks involved in drug and psychotropic substance trafficking.
L’intéressé a été placé sous enquête judiciaire menée sous la supervision du parquet compétent, afin de déterminer les éventuelles ramifications de cette activité criminelle, d’identifier les autres complices présumés et de révéler d’éventuels liens avec des réseaux de trafic de stupéfiants et de substances psychotropes.
