The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced on Saturday evening that the first day of the month of Rajab for the year 1447 AH will be the day after tomorrow, Monday, December 22, 2025, due to the non-sighting of the crescent moon.
In an official statement, the Ministry explained that it observed the crescent of the month of Rajab after sunset on Saturday, Jumada al-Akhirah 29, 1447 AH (corresponding to December 20, 2025). The Ministry contacted all regional delegates of Islamic affairs across the Kingdom, as well as units of the Royal Armed Forces involved in the moon sighting, all of whom confirmed that the crescent was not sighted.
Accordingly, the statement added, the month of Jumada al-Akhirah will complete thirty days, and the beginning of the month of Rajab will be Monday, December 22, 2025.
