Casablanca: Four People Arrested After Vandalizing Cars and Possessing Bladed Weapons Following Dispute with Night Guard

Casablanca – Elements of the Casablanca Security Prefecture successfully arrested four people aged between 19 and 28 years on Saturday evening, November 22, 2025, on suspicion of involvement in a case of damaging private property and possessing bladed weapons under circumstances threatening the safety of persons and property.

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) stated in a communiqué today, Sunday, that police services received an immediate report indicating that a group of individuals had damaged several cars parked on the public street using bladed weapons.

According to preliminary investigation data, the incident arose following an accidental dispute between the suspects and a night guard of a residential building, before the situation quickly escalated to acts of vandalism affecting several vehicles parked nearby.

Police patrols intervened with exceptional speed, enabling the identification and arrest of the suspects in record time following a field sweep operation and exploitation of the camera surveillance system.

The four detainees were placed in police custody pending the judicial investigation being conducted under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office, in order to uncover all circumstances and details of this case and determine the real motives behind committing these criminal acts.

This successful security operation comes in the context of ongoing efforts made by National Security services to strengthen citizens’ sense of security, through intensifying preventive patrols and rapid intervention units in urban neighborhoods, in addition to relying on community reporting mechanisms and effective coordination between various field units.
