Continuing the implementation of the strategy to open opportunities for young talents to assume security management responsibilities and to consolidate turnover in leadership positions, the General Directorate of National Security announced today, Sunday, October 19, a new list of appointments to leadership positions in decentralized National Security services across the cities of Tetouan, Casablanca, Laayoune, Sidi Ifni, Youssoufia, Fez, Marrakech, Sefrou, Rabat, and Inzegan, as well as in the central services of the General Directorate.
The new appointments, approved by the Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, include 17 new police leadership positions in public security services. Among them is the appointment of the Head of the Tetouan Security District and the Chief of the Police Commission at the Maritime Port of Sidi Ifni, in addition to appointing several heads of police precincts in the Hassan district security area in Casablanca, Fez Medina security area, Tetouan security area, and security zones of Youssoufia and Sidi Ifni.
At the level of uniformed public security services, the new list includes the appointment of the Head of the Coordination and Command Room at Marrakech Security Directorate and heads of urban bodies in the districts of Bensouda in Fez, Ain Chock in Casablanca, and Sefrou, as well as the appointment of the head of the Traffic and Patrol Unit in Sefrou.
These appointments also include placing security officers in charge of other decentralized services, such as appointing the Head of the Tourist Police Unit in Rabat, heads of General Intelligence Units in the security districts of Inzegan and Ben Debab Ain Kadous in Fez, and the head of the Anti-Gang Unit at Laayoune Security Directorate.
Regarding central-level appointments, a female security officer was assigned as Head of the Information Systems Management Department for Judicial Police Services “Research” under the Judicial Police Directorate.
These new appointments come within an ongoing dynamic aimed at enhancing the efficiency and productivity of police human resources by enabling rotation in leadership positions and entrusting the field management of police facilities to highly trained and qualified security professionals capable of implementing work plans aimed at strengthening citizen security and ensuring the safety of their properties.
