His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, appointed today, Sunday, October 19, 2025, Mr. Abdelkarim Al-Ghannami as Governor of Taounate Province.
This royal appointment was made during the ministerial council chaired by His Majesty at the Royal Palace in Rabat, in accordance with Article 49 of the Constitution, upon the proposal of the Head of Government and the initiative of the Minister of Interior.
The new territorial administration appointments in the Fez-Meknes region also included Mr. Khalid Ait Taleb as Wali of the Fez-Meknes Region and Governor of Fez Prefecture, and Mr. Rachid Benchikhi as Governor of Taza Province.
It is noted that this ministerial council was dedicated to discussing the general directions of the 2026 Finance Bill, approving draft regulatory laws, two draft decrees related to the military sector, several international agreements, and a series of appointments to senior positions.
