His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, appointed today, Sunday, October 19, 2025, Mr. Khalid Ait Taleb as Wali of the Fez-Meknes Region and Governor of Fez Prefecture.
This appointment was made during the ministerial council chaired by His Majesty at the Royal Palace in Rabat, in accordance with Article 49 of the Constitution, upon the proposal of the Head of Government and the initiative of the Minister of Interior.
The royal appointments included other territorial administration positions in the Fez-Meknes region, with Mr. Rachid Benchikhi appointed Governor of Taza Province, and Mr. Abdelkarim Al-Ghannami appointed Governor of Taounate Province.
It is noted that the ministerial council was dedicated to discussing the general directions of the 2026 Finance Bill, approving draft regulatory laws, two draft decrees related to the military sector, several international agreements, and a series of appointments to senior positions.
