Taounate – As part of the efforts to achieve comprehensive development and reduce spatial disparities, work has begun on a major road project aimed at ending the isolation of the Sidi Mekhfi commune in the Taounate province.
The project, which falls under the “Program for the Reduction of Spatial and Social Disparities,” involves the construction of a new road connecting “Sidi Mekhfi” and “Ain Barda,” passing through “Makraoui” and “Tilfrane,” with the aim of improving road infrastructure and facilitating the movement of local residents.
The “LSR” studies office and the “L.A.B.S” construction supervision laboratory are overseeing this project, while the company “SSMT SARL” is responsible for its execution. The project is fully funded by the “National Initiative for Human Development” (INDH), with a total budget of 18,489,826.22 dirhams. According to the set schedule, the project is expected to take 14 months to complete.
This project is considered a significant step towards achieving sustainable development in rural areas, as it will contribute significantly to improving the living conditions of the population and opening up new economic prospects, thereby boosting the region’s dynamism and strengthening its connections with urban centers.
