With deep sorrow and grief, Fes News mourns the passing of the Moroccan visual artist Najwa Al-Haytami, daughter of the city of Tangier, who left an indelible mark on her creative journey with distinctive artworks carrying profound symbolic and humanitarian messages.
The late artist participated in major exhibitions within Morocco, most notably the “Memory and Dialogue” exhibition at the Mohammed Al-Darsi Gallery, and an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tangier in October 2023. She also represented Morocco in international art forums in France, Switzerland, and Italy.
With her departure, the Moroccan visual art scene loses one of its icons, leaving behind an artistic legacy that will remain a testament to her creativity and innovation.
We pray to God Almighty to envelop the deceased with His vast mercy, grant her a place in His spacious paradise, and inspire her family, loved ones, and admirers with patience and solace.
