British media personality Piers Morgan exposes Israel: “Why do you shoot the hungry?”

In a recent episode of his talk show, British journalist Piers Morgan directed severe criticism at the Israeli government, condemning its official stance on the situation in the Gaza Strip. Morgan stated, “You claim you do not shoot at the hungry, so why then do you shoot at people scrambling for scraps of food?” He added that the Israeli government insists there is no famine and that all that is happening is due to the movement, but he expressed doubt about the truthfulness of these statements.

Morgan pointed out that Israel still refuses to allow any international media outlet to enter Gaza, emphasizing that this decision is not out of concern for journalists’ safety, but rather because over 200 Palestinian journalists have been killed. He considered that the responsibility for journalists’ safety does not lie with the government but with the media institutions employing them.

He added: “If you do not allow foreign media organizations into Gaza to verify your ongoing claims—which I believe are completely false—no one should believe you. Why should we believe what you say?” He criticized Israel for inviting foreign press only after October 7 to visit the Gaza border settlements to show the horrors committed by the movement, insisting Israel apply the same principle to Gaza itself.

Morgan, speaking from a journalistic perspective, said: “You do not want the world to see the truth; you seek to hide it. This allows you to lie with impunity, evade any responsibility for your actions, and keep claiming that your army is ‘the most ethical in the world.'”

He concluded: “Well then… let us enter Gaza, see for ourselves, and verify the truth of all your claims.”

Piers Morgan’s statements come amid rising international debate over the humanitarian and political situation in Gaza, with global media and observers calling for greater transparency and freer access for journalists to the area.
