The Ministry of National Education, Early Childhood, and Sports has announced the details for the start of the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year, which will begin under the motto “For a Quality School,” reflecting the commitment to enhancing the quality of education and developing the national education system.
According to Ministerial Decree No. 051.25, signed by the Minister of National Education, Early Childhood, and Sports, Mr. Mohamed Saad Barada, the official and mandatory start date for the academic year is Monday, September 1, 2025. This applies to all educational levels, including early childhood education, primary education, lower secondary education, and upper secondary education.
The ministry also released the official list of school holidays for primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary education for the 2025/2026 school year. These holidays are designed to balance study and rest periods, ensuring optimal educational outcomes.
This announcement is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve education quality and learning conditions, aligning with the aspirations of families and students for a school system that meets contemporary challenges.
