In a diplomatic move reflecting the growing strategic importance of Moroccan initiatives on the continental level, the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), which includes Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso, expressed its high appreciation and esteem for the initiatives launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, with the aim of achieving development and prosperity in Africa.

The Alliance specifically highlighted the historic Royal Initiative aimed at enabling Sahel countries to access the Atlantic facade, considering it a strategic vision capable of transforming the region. This official stance came during a meeting between the foreign ministers of the three countries and His Majesty the King in Rabat, where they expressed their countries’ full commitment and complete readiness to work towards implementing this initiative on the ground.

The foreign ministers of the Alliance affirmed that this ambitious project not only represents a vital economic lifeline that will contribute to breaking the isolation of their countries but is also a true embodiment of the South-South cooperation philosophy pursued by Morocco under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King.

This widespread commendation by a significant regional bloc reflects Morocco‘s standing as a force for peace and stability, and as a reliable partner capable of providing practical and innovative solutions to the challenges facing the African continent, serving the logic of win-win partnerships and enhancing regional integration and cohesion.
