A group of presidents and representatives of clubs in the Premier Division of the Regional Football League of Fez-Meknes have submitted a formal grievance to the League’s president, protesting against the Executive Board’s decision to promote teams to top positions without completing the championship.
The signatories expressed their complete rejection of the illegal decision taken by the Executive Board, especially given that the second-round matches have not been completed. They considered the unilateral decision was made without consulting the concerned teams or respecting the principles of transparency and equal opportunities.
The protesters emphasized that this procedure clearly violates both the League’s basic law and the general regulations of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, stressing that any decision affecting the championship standings must be based on clear legal procedures after validating all competition phases.
The signatories demanded the following:
- Immediate withdrawal of the illegal decision
- Opening an internal investigation into the circumstances of the decision
- Respect for legal and regulatory procedures
- Holding an urgent consultative meeting with the concerned teams
The signatories also announced their intention to forward a copy of the grievance to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, while reserving all legal and administrative rights to defend their interests, including recourse to competent authorities.
The grievance bears the signatures of several presidents and representatives of clubs affiliated with the Regional Football League of Fez-Meknes.
