On Wednesday, Abdelatif Loudyi, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration, received Juvenal Marizamunda, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Rwanda, accompanied by a high-level delegation during an official working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, in the presence of the Rwandan Ambassador accredited in Rabat.
This visit comes within the framework of consolidating and expanding bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Rwanda. The meeting witnessed the signing of a military cooperation agreement between the two countries, according to a statement from the National Defense Administration.
Key Areas of the Military Agreement
The agreement focuses on cooperation in several fields, including:
- Military training, education, and joint exercises.
- Logistical support and technical assistance.
- Military healthcare.
- Exchange of experiences and expertise in various areas of common interest.
The agreement also provides for the establishment of a joint military commission tasked with defining cooperation priorities and holding meetings alternately in Rabat and Kigali.
Enhancing Stability and Security in Africa
During the meeting, the two officials discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, emphasizing the positive and constructive role played by both Morocco and Rwanda in maintaining stability, security, and peace across the African continent.
The statement also highlighted the various South-South cooperation and regional integration initiatives launched under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which have positioned Morocco as a dynamic actor contributing to shared stability, security, and prosperity for Africa.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their common ambition and determination to strengthen the friendship between the two countries and to consolidate these relations in the future through the implementation of the signed defense cooperation agreement.
