Iran Threatens Israel with “More Severe” Wave of Attacks Using Advanced Drones

In a field development signaling an unprecedented escalation in the Middle East, Major General Kioumars Heydari, Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, announced on Tuesday morning, June 17, 2025, the start of a new wave of attacks on Israel, describing them as the “most severe” since the recent escalation began.

Heydari stated that hundreds of long-range drones of the “Arash” model carried out strikes targeting vital sites within Israel, especially in Tel Aviv and Haifa, indicating that the strikes destroyed strategic facilities and weapons depots using precise and advanced explosive technologies.

The Iranian military official confirmed that this operation is in response to the “recent Israeli aggressions,” declaring that Iran has entered a new phase of military retaliation described as “harsh,” and that an additional wave of attacks has already begun.

This escalation comes amid rising international warnings of a potential large-scale regional confrontation, with fears of slipping into a full-scale war threatening the stability of the entire region.
