On Thursday, June 12, 2025, an extraordinary session of the community council of Fannassa Bab El-Hit, Taounate region, will be held to discuss a number of issues with social and developmental dimensions, foremost among them the project to build a rehabilitative high school and the programming of two proximity stadiums.
It is expected that this session, held within the framework of the requirements of Organizational Law No. 113.14 on Territorial Communities, will be a milestone in the process of improving the educational and sports infrastructure for the benefit of the community’s population of more than 12,000 inhabitants.
According to the available data, the agenda of the session includes four pivotal points, foremost of which is the study and approval of the petition to establish a rehabilitation high school, and the programming of the real financial surplus resulting from the management years 2022, 2023 and 2024.
According to local sources, the project is an urgent demand of families in the region, in light of the suffering of their children with daily transportation to educational institutions in neighboring communities, and the project would contribute to improving education indicators and reducing the social burden on families.
The council is also expected to approve the construction of two stadiums, one in the Bourda sheikhdom and the other in the Oued Kasbah center, in a move aimed at strengthening the sports infrastructure and providing spaces for sports for the youth of the region.
The real estate needed to build the secondary school is estimated at 12,134 square meters, according to the development design approved and published in the Official Gazette on December 23, 2024.
According to local reports, an official petition is expected to be submitted to the Regional Academy of Education and Training for Fes Meknes to accelerate the realization of this educational project, which could be a turning point in the reality of education in the community of Fannassa Bab al-Hit, in addition to enhancing the dynamism of local development.
