The Royal Moroccan Football Federation held a special reception today to honor a group of former international players who represented the national team, the “Atlas Lions,” and also played for the local clubs Moghreb Athletic Club of Fez and Club Athletic de Meknes.
According to a statement issued by the Federation, the ceremony took place at the national team’s training camp in Fez, where the team is finalizing preparations for its upcoming friendly match against Benin, scheduled for tomorrow at the Fez Sports Complex.
This event provided a unique opportunity to celebrate the careers of several players who left a significant mark on the history of Moroccan football. It also fostered friendly interaction between the current generation and the veterans, with current national team players engaging in direct and meaningful conversations with the former stars, exchanging experiences and insights on the evolution and development of the game.
This initiative reflects the Royal Moroccan Football Federation’s commitment to preserving the legacy of the national team and recognizing the valuable contributions of former players by building bridges between different generations who had the honor of wearing the national jersey with pride and dedication.
