Over 62,000 Candidates Sit for Baccalaureate Exams in Fes-Meknes Amid Tight Security Measures

The Fes-Meknes region recently witnessed the smooth organization of the 2024–2025 baccalaureate exams, with more than 62,000 candidates taking part in this crucial national milestone under strict organizational and security measures.

According to data from the Regional Academy of Education and Training, the total number of candidates reached 62,693, including 46,545 enrolled students, with female students making up 54.29% of the total.

Scientific, technical, and vocational streams dominated the exam registrations with 36,231 candidates, compared to 10,314 in the literature and traditional education tracks. Fes recorded the highest number of candidates with 20,257, followed by Meknes with 14,103.

Among the candidates were 102 students with disabilities, who benefited from adapted exam conditions and grading procedures. Additionally, 16,148 independent candidates took part, across 21 academic streams and 63 exam centers, including 201 inmates from correctional facilities.

The Academy ensured that the exams were held under optimal conditions by mobilizing educational and administrative teams, securing exam centers, and preparing classrooms—all while upholding the principle of equal opportunity.

To maintain exam integrity, regional and provincial monitoring committees, along with quality inspectors, were deployed across 254 centers, applying strict anti-cheating measures. These efforts contributed to an environment of discipline and responsibility throughout the examination period.

At the conclusion of this key academic event, the Academy praised the contributions of all partners—public authorities, security services, teaching and administrative staff, and parents’ associations—in ensuring the success of this pivotal moment in students’ educational journeys.
