Rabat, Morocco – Moulay Ismaïl University has achieved a historic and significant milestone in the world of technology and innovation, as its “NovaOR Team Out Of The Box” from the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques in Errachidia won the Grand Prize in the “Innovation Track” category at the finals of the Huawei ICT Competition 2024–2025.
Global Recognition for Moroccan Excellence
The global finals of the competition were held in Shenzhen, China, witnessing fierce competition among the best universities from around the world. The winning team comprised students Ayman Amokrane and Maryeme Hassani, under the distinguished supervision of Professor Yousef Farhaoui.
This major victory is the fruit of “diligent work, remarkable teamwork, and unwavering passion,” reflecting the high level of academic education and scientific research at Moulay Ismaïl University. This achievement clearly places the university on the global map of technological and academic excellence.
Massive Global Competition and Unique Achievement
This award gains particular importance in the context of the intense competition that characterized the event, with over 200,000 students participating in various selection phases at national, regional, and global levels. A total of 179 teams from forty-eight countries qualified for the finals, making Moulay Ismaïl University’s accomplishment unique and a source of pride for all of Morocco.
