His Majesty King Mohammed VI Receives New Walis and Governors at Rabat Royal Palace1

Rabat, Morocco – His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, received a new cohort of Walis (governors) and Governors appointed to the territorial and central administration of the Ministry of Interior today, Saturday, at the Royal Palace in Rabat. These appointments reflect the continuous dynamism in modernizing Moroccan administration and strengthening its governance.


Significant Appointments in Central and Territorial Administration

The new appointments included Walis holding prominent positions in the central administration, Governors at the provincial and prefectural levels, as well as a Governor in charge of the Communication Directorate.

The Walis in the Central Administration are:

  • Mr. Samir Mohammed Tazi: Wali, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Interior.
  • Mr. Mohamed Faouzi: Wali, Inspector General of Territorial Administration.2
  • Mr. Hassan Aghmari: Wali, Director of Electoral Affairs.3
  • Mr. Abdelhak El Harrak: Wali, Director of Information Systems and Communications.4

The Governors appointed to the Territorial Administration are:

  • Mr. Mohamed Ali Habouha: Governor of Settat Province.5

  • Mr. Abdellah Alaoui: Governor, Director of Communication at the Ministry of Interior.19

Oath-Taking in the Presence of High-Ranking Officials

During this solemn reception, the newly appointed Governors took the oath before His Majesty the King, expressing their loyalty and commitment to serving the nation and its citizens.

The reception was attended by the Minister of Interior, Mr. Abdelouafi Laftit, and the Royal Chamberlain, Mr. Sidi Mohammed Alaoui. These appointments underscore the state’s strategy to enhance the efficiency of both territorial and central administrations, ensuring comprehensive development and responding to the aspirations of citizens.
