Fes, Morocco – Fes News has learned from an exclusive source that local authorities in Fes, in a decisive field intervention, raided a clandestine factory specializing in the production of pajamas and textiles. The factory had been operating secretly and without proper legal authorization.
According to the same source, the raiding committee was shocked to find a number of workers detained inside the factory for long hours daily, in extremely dangerous and inhumane conditions. The facility reportedly lacked the most basic safety requirements, with no ventilation and the unregulated use of hazardous materials.
In immediate response, the official overseeing the raid issued an urgent decision to completely halt all work within the factory. The relevant Public Prosecutor’s Office in Fes was promptly notified of the grave situation to undertake necessary legal proceedings.
This specialized operation adds to a series of interventions by authorities aimed at combating unregistered economic activities and protecting workers’ rights from exploitation. This comes amidst calls from human rights organizations to intensify oversight and enhance judicial follow-up in such cases.
