Casablanca – Mohamed Boudrika, the former president of Raja Club Athletic of Casablanca, appeared today, Monday, before the investigating judge at the Ain Sebaa Court in Casablanca.
This marks the second hearing during which Boudrika has been questioned. The session lasted for more than two hours.
According to a source from Le Site info, the investigating judge has scheduled a new hearing for next week to continue the investigation into the case.
It is recalled that Mohamed Boudrika arrived at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca on April 24th on a flight from Frankfurt and was placed in pre-trial detention at Oukacha prison.
The Higher Regional Court of Hamburg had approved the extradition of the former Raja Casablanca president.
A source from Le Site info previously stated that “The Federal Office of Justice has given its consent for Boudrika’s extradition. The Federal Constitutional Court rejected the defense’s request to temporarily suspend the extradition proceedings. Boudrika will thus be handed over to the Moroccan authorities.”
In a related development, a source from the German government assured that Mohamed Boudrika had exhausted all legal avenues to challenge the extradition decision.
It is worth noting that Boudrika’s file had been pending since last July before Germany made an official decision on his extradition.
