Dozens of residents from several villages in Southern Kznaya, part of the Aknoul district in Taza Province, held a protest on Wednesday in front of the provincial headquarters, calling for the implementation of long-promised development and social projects in their region.
Villagers from Aghnennou, Lqsil, Bouhoudoud Sefli, and Bouhoudoud Aala took part in the demonstration, voicing their frustration over ongoing marginalization and the lack of basic infrastructure and services.
Protesters condemned what they described as “false electoral promises” made during previous campaigns, which they say have yet to be honored. They demanded that local and regional authorities fulfill their commitments and address critical needs related to healthcare, education, roads, and access to clean drinking water.
The demonstrators also called for a serious and responsible dialogue with their elected representatives and stressed their determination to continue peaceful protest actions until their legitimate demands are met.
