Nador: Based on precise information provided by the services of the Directorate General for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), police elements of the Regional Security Directorate in Nador city successfully apprehended a suspect today, Saturday, May 3rd, in connection with several serious cases involving the possession and trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances, as well as the commission of a fatal traffic accident.
A security source reported that the suspect’s arrest was due to multiple national search warrants issued against him, stemming from strong suspicions of his involvement in cases related to drug and psychotropic substance trafficking, in addition to his implication in a traffic accident that resulted in a fatality.
Initial investigations also indicate the suspect’s involvement in another case concerning the obstruction of an ambulance’s transit while it was transporting another individual to the hospital, and facilitating that individual’s escape. The person who was helped to flee is also suspected of being wanted nationally for involvement in criminal acts, an incident that recently circulated widely in a video clip on social media platforms.
The arrested suspect has been placed under thorough judicial investigation, supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office, to uncover all the circumstances, details, and backgrounds of these multiple cases, and to precisely determine all the criminal acts attributed to him. Further details regarding this potential criminal network and its connections are expected to emerge from the ongoing investigations.
