Burkina Faso’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation, and Burkina Faso Nationals Abroad, Mr. Karamoko John Marie Traoré, affirmed that King Mohammed VI has always been a strong advocate for cooperation between the countries of the Global South, praising the royal initiatives that reflect this strategic approach.

In a statement to the press following the royal reception he received alongside his counterparts from Mali and Niger, the Burkinabé minister emphasized that the meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on ways to strengthen cooperation between Morocco and the countries of the Sahel Alliance, in addition to discussing the prospects of this regional alliance.

Traoré stated that the royal reception was not merely a protocolary meeting but a moment filled with trust and appreciation, which allowed the three ministers to listen to the wise guidance of King Mohammed VI and express their gratitude on behalf of their heads of state for his continued support.

The Burkinabé official also expressed his admiration for what he described as the “genuine love” that King Mohammed VI has for Africa, as well as his deep understanding of the specificities and conditions of the Sahel countries, confirming His Majesty’s ongoing readiness to build renewed partnerships with African nations based on solidarity and mutual respect.

The minister concluded his statement by mentioning that he conveyed to the Moroccan monarch the greetings of Burkina Faso’s President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, and his deep appreciation for the brotherly and friendly relations between the two countries.
