Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has announced the appointment of Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, as its First Vice-President in the CAF Executive Committee.
The announcement was made on the sidelines of the first CAF Executive Committee meeting, held in Ghana on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
Motsepe explained that Lekjaa’s appointment to this high-ranking position comes in recognition of the outstanding work he has been doing for many years as head of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
Motsepe also expressed his pride in working with Lekjaa, and voiced his confidence that the Africa Cup of Nations finals to be hosted by Morocco will be the most successful tournament in the history of the competition.
