France Extends Consular Services to Southern Provinces: TLS Contact Center to Open Soon in Laayoune

Laayoune: Le360 has reliably learned that France intends to extend the scope of its consular services to include the southern provinces of the Kingdom of Morocco by opening a center belonging to TLS Contact, the company responsible for processing French visa applications, in the city of Laayoune next May.

This new center will provide a convenient and accessible service for residents of the cities of Laayoune, Dakhla, and Es-Semara. Until now, residents of these areas had to travel to the TLS Contact center in Agadir, located approximately 632 kilometers north of Laayoune, to complete their visa application procedures.

With this step, manifestations of France’s recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara are being realized on the ground, which will soon become tangible for the residents of the Kingdom’s southern provinces.
