Sefrou / Ain Chkak Health Center Supports Pregnant Women with Awareness Sessions to Enhance Maternal and Child Health

On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the rural health center in Ain Chkak, located in the Sefrou province, organized awareness and educational sessions for pregnant women as part of the national pregnancy monitoring campaign launched by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, in partnership with the National Initiative for Human Development. The campaign will run from April 7 to May 8, 2025, under the slogan:
“Let’s accelerate and complete pregnancy visits to maintain the health of the mother and child.”

This initiative aims to strengthen the health center’s role in monitoring pregnancy by providing medical guidance and practical advice on the importance of regular check-ups throughout pregnancy, as well as preventing health complications that could endanger the mother or fetus.

The national campaign seeks to improve the quality of healthcare services related to maternal and child health by raising awareness about the importance of medical visits during pregnancy and emphasizing the critical first 1,000 days of a child’s life in fostering a healthy generation capable of contributing to community development.

Additionally, the initiative aims to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality rates, particularly in rural areas where healthcare infrastructure is often lacking, making such initiatives crucial for bringing services closer to the population and improving health awareness among women.

These sessions have received a positive response from the beneficiaries, with plans to extend the program to other rural health centers in the region in the coming months.
