The Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dentistry in Fes witnessed a historic event in the field of higher education in Morocco during the first examination session held from February 27 to March 7, 2025, with the organization of the first encrypted digital exam at the Pharmacy Department level.
In this exam, which included three courses, the faculty relied on advanced technology that ensures the confidentiality of questions and protects data from breaches and leaks, with accurate and secure documentation of all evaluation stages.
This pioneering step comes as part of the faculty’s endeavor to digitize and develop higher education, as it has equipped a fully-fledged digital examination center, which is scheduled to be expanded to accommodate 300 students by September 2025.
The digital system used relies on internal servers to store data, ensuring its security and the confidentiality of exams without the need for internet connectivity.
This system is characterized by several advantages, including:
- Displaying results immediately after the exam ends.
- Reducing cheating through an intelligent and secure monitoring system.
- Ease and flexibility in organization and correction.
- Environmental preservation by reducing paper use.
- Full content encryption to protect exam confidentiality.
This successful experience represents a strong start towards the digitization of higher education in Morocco and encourages the adoption of innovative and secure means that serve the student and the educational process.
