As part of the implementation of the integrated regional strategic plan to combat AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, and viral hepatitis for the period 2024-2030, and in line with the ministerial circular calling for awareness campaigns to promote early detection of HIV infection in its initial stages, the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in the Fez-Meknes region held a remote meeting on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
The meeting was attended by the regional coordinator for the AIDS and viral hepatitis program, heads of departments, unit officials, hospital directors, heads of the health facility network in the provinces of the Fez-Meknes region, and officials of related programs. The meeting aimed to discuss the broad outlines of the campaign, organized under the slogan “Let’s Strengthen HIV Screening in Our Healthcare Facilities,” which runs from March 3 to March 28, 2025.
During the meeting, ways to ensure the success of the campaign and overcome existing challenges were discussed, with an emphasis on the importance of promoting early detection of HIV infection among patients in diagnostic centers and hospitals. All participants expressed their commitment to accelerating the pace of achieving the set goals for 2025 in the Fez-Meknes region.
This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to enhance health awareness and improve services in the prevention of infectious diseases, including AIDS and viral hepatitis, to ensure patients receive timely and necessary care.
