More than 8,000 vulnerable families in the El Hajeb province have benefited from Operation “Ramadan 1446,” organized by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity in honor of the holy month of Ramadan. This social initiative is financially supported by the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, targeting families registered in the Unified Social Registry.
The operation reached 6,224 families in rural areas and 1,911 families in urban areas, distributed across 16 municipalities in the El Hajeb province. These efforts are part of the national Operation “Ramadan 1446,” launched under the high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and overseen by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Khadija.
Nationally, the operation benefits one million families across the Kingdom, equivalent to approximately 5 million people. A total budget of 330 million dirhams has been allocated for this edition, through which 34,280 tons of essential food items were distributed, including flour, milk, rice, oil, sugar, tomato paste, pastries, lentils, and tea.
The operation primarily targets the most vulnerable social groups, such as widowed women, the elderly, and people with disabilities. On a national level, 74% of the benefiting families reside in rural areas, with aid distributed across 1,054 out of 1,304 targeted municipalities throughout the country.
Operation “Ramadan 1446” aligns with the humanitarian program implemented by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, which aims to provide support to the most needy families and promote the values of solidarity and social cohesion. Through these efforts, the Foundation continues its pioneering role in supporting vulnerable groups and improving their living conditions, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan.
