The Confederation of African Football (CAF) praised, this Wednesday, the remarkable progress of Brahim Diaz with his club Real Madrid and the Moroccan national team, describing the player as “someone who is beginning to make a strong impression.”
In a statement, CAF noted: “After proving his immense value with Real Madrid this season, the Moroccan international star shone once again in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 against Atlético Madrid.” The confederation added: “Diaz’s decisive goal secured the win for Real Madrid (2-1), confirming his growing role in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.”
CAF also highlighted that the “Atlas Lion” continues to deliver outstanding performances as the FIFA Club World Cup approaches, where he could be a key asset for Real Madrid. The confederation also touched on Diaz’s impressive displays with the national team, stating: “Since his first appearances in the Moroccan jersey, Diaz has showcased his technical flair and goal-scoring instinct,” emphasizing that his choice to represent Morocco over their northern neighbor (Spain) “has proven to be a winning decision.”
CAF concluded by saying: “With Real Madrid seeking a new global title and Morocco aiming for significant achievements on home soil, Brahim Diaz could become one of the standout stars of international football. The year 2025 might well be the year of his ultimate triumph.”
