The Administrative Court in Fes Rejects Appeal Against Election of President of Bouchfâa Municipality in Taza

The Administrative Court in Fes ruled on Tuesday to reject the appeal filed by a competing candidate against the results of the election of the President of Bouchfâa Municipality, which took place on February 17, 2025. While the court accepted the appeal in form, it rejected the substance, considering that the evidence presented did not justify annulling the election process.

According to available information, the municipal councilor had submitted an appeal to the Administrative Court in Fes on February 24, requesting the annulment of the election results due to what he deemed “irregularities in the electoral process.” The appeal covered the elected president, Mohamed Lharrach, the head of the voting office, Azouz Al-Sadiq, and the secretary of the office, Fatima Zahra Gargour.

The court scheduled a session to review the case and issued its ruling on Tuesday, rejecting the appeal and confirming the legitimacy of the electoral procedures and the absence of legal grounds to annul the election results.
