The Director General of National Security, Major General Hassan Fathi, has been appointed as the head of the Regional Directorate for Information Security and Security Files, a newly established unit at both the central and regional levels aimed at supporting the digital transformation adopted by the Directorate General of National Security.
Major General Fathi has held several positions within the security apparatus, having worked in criminal investigations and general intelligence, as well as leading the regional communication cell, which has given him extensive experience in various security fields.
The security official has also benefited from advanced training courses both within Morocco and internationally, with the latest being in California, USA, which has further enhanced his skills in dealing with technological developments and security communications.
Hassan Fathi is known for his great humility and exceptional social sensitivity, where he has made sure to build strong professional and human relationships with his colleagues and citizens, earning him wide recognition both within the security institution and beyond.
