Local Sources Sound Alarm: Slow Development Deepens Hardship in Tamhdit Commune, Ifrane

In a Strongly Worded Statement: Taza Education Unions Express Outrage – “It Is Unacceptable to Discredit Teachers and Tarnish the Reputation of Public Schools by Publishing Inappropriate Videos and Photos”

The four education unions (National Education Union, National Teaching Federation, Free Education Federation, and National Education Syndicate) have strongly condemned what they described as “unethical practices” targeting the teaching and administrative staff of Abdelkrim El Khattabi Secondary School in the city of Taza.

According to a statement issued by the unions, photos and videos of the institution’s educational staff were published and misused in inappropriate contexts, accompanied by offensive language and improper remarks. This act was deemed an infringement on the dignity of educational personnel and the reputation of the school.

The statement emphasized that such actions pose a serious threat to the educational system, as targeting educators does not only affect the individuals concerned but also undermines educational and societal values as a whole. It called for the urgent intervention of the regional education directorate and local authorities to take necessary measures to protect educational staff from defamation and attacks that impact their professional and personal lives.

Furthermore, the unions urged the preservation of public school integrity and the dignity of its employees, warning that leniency towards such behaviors could have negative consequences on the educational environment. They affirmed their determination to resort to all available legal and advocacy means to put an end to such practices, stressing the need to hold those responsible accountable to prevent their recurrence in the future.
