Bank Al-Maghrib has issued a warning about the circulation of misleading media content that unlawfully exploits its name and identity, urging citizens to be cautious and not fall victim to these false claims.
In an official statement, the central bank reported detecting a fabricated news article published via an electronic link that mimics a well-known news website. The article falsely claims the existence of an investment platform affiliated with Bank Al-Maghrib.
The statement further clarified that this content fraudulently uses the bank’s identity and the image of the Governor of Bank Al-Maghrib, leveraging artificial intelligence techniques to deceive the public and promote false promises of financial gains.
Bank Al-Maghrib strongly refuted all claims made in the article, emphasizing that it will take the necessary legal measures to protect its reputation and rights from any unlawful exploitation.
The bank also urged citizens to remain vigilant and verify information through official channels to avoid falling prey to such misleading claims.
