In a letter addressed to the Governor of the Fez region, residents of Hassan Ben Thabit Street in Fez have lodged a new complaint against the establishment “Luigi Pool 147,” which continues to operate illegally despite an official decision to revoke its license. This complaint follows two previous correspondences dated January 7 and January 29, 2025, without the administrative decision being enforced.
The residents pointed out in their letter that the official decision to revoke the license was issued by the Agdal District Council on November 4, 2024, under number 40. However, the establishment remains open and continues to operate normally, causing significant disturbance to the residents and affecting their comfort and the safety of their residential environment.
The residents confirmed that they had drawn the attention of local authorities, including the head of the Agdal administrative district and the Pasha of Agdal, to the continued delay in implementing the decision, despite the clarity of legal procedures and the emphasis on the harm suffered by the residents. They expressed their dissatisfaction with this unjustified delay, which hinders the application of the law and negatively impacts citizens’ trust in the effectiveness of administrative decisions.
In their letter, the residents called for urgent intervention by the Governor to enforce the final decision to close the establishment and to hold accountable anyone who neglects to implement the law. They stressed the importance of maintaining the authority of regulatory bodies and the rights of residents as stipulated by law.
This move comes as part of the residents’ ongoing efforts to ensure respect for administrative decisions and improve the quality of life in their residential area. The question remains: Will the relevant authorities intervene to resolve this situation, or will the delay continue?
